Also, you will be able to see different species of birds like secretary birds kori bustards, red-billed hornbills, vultures, and superb starlings. Once your exhilarating game drive comes to a close, you will make your way to the campsite for a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
After breakfast, you will embark on a game drive accompanied by a packed lunch. The areas that you visit will depend upon where the migrating herds are. Predators usually follow closely behind the trekking animals and include lions, leopards (in the acacia trees), and cheetahs. During the short rainy season, the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south (Ndutu Area) looking for fresh grass, pastures, and water ready for starting calving season. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return up north. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year. Your guide will know where to locate the animals and where to see them best. After an exciting game drive, you will be transferred to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Early in the morning after a delicious breakfast at the lodge, you will set off on an early morning adventure, descending into the breathtaking crater for an unforgettable game drive. Of course, you will bring along a packed lunch to keep you fueled throughout the day. The Ngorongoro crater is a unique ecosystem and is home to a wide variety of wild, including over 25,000 large mammals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, and black rhinos. The crater is also a key habitat for several endangered species, including the African wild dog and the eastern black and white Colobus monkey. Also, predators include hyenas, jackals' cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopards, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. The crater also offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You can enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the designated picnic areas within the crater. After enjoying the game drive, you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to Tarangire National Park with a packed lunch for a full game drive. This park has a lot of migratory movement with the greater Tarangire Ecosystem. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the great valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of acacia woodland and giant African baobab trees with huge swamp areas.
